Homebase is designed for bars, breweries and wineries
Save time scheduling your team, even for overnight shifts
Set a target labor cost% of sales and make sure you're on budget from the start. Send it to your team via text, email, and our free mobile app. See weather forecasts while you're scheduling, so you can be staffed appropriately if there's rain scheduled for your rooftop lounge.
Time tracking built for overnight shifts
Track paid and unpaid breaks and get alerted to any errors automatically. Have your team declare tips at clock-out and sync it right to your timesheets. Stay compliant with local labor laws that can impact bars, like New York's spread of hours law.
Grow your team with Homebase.
Post jobs, track applicants, and onboard new employees all in one place.
Smarter time clocks keep tabs on your labor costs
Turn any tablet into a time clock or allow your employees to clock in on their phones for offsite events. See who's clocked in from your Homebase app, even if it's 2am and you're at home.
Team management -- not on the rocks.
Homebase provides free mobile apps for everyone on the team, so everyone can see their schedule, propose shift trades, track earnings, and more. It's even useful for salaried employees, like your brewers and winemakers.
Save time and reduce headaches managing your bar or brewery
Save time
Our bar, winery and brewery customers save an average of 5-10 hours each week with our simplified scheduling and timesheets. Spend less time managing schedule changes and shift trades, and more time serving your customers.
Reporting built for bars and breweries
With Homebase, you can optimize your labor around key data like weather, sales, and overtime laws. Ensure you are staffing on the right days at the right times with our reporting and forecasting tools. Homebase is great for seasonal businesses too, like wineries that are only open in the summer, or bars with private event spaces.
Stay connected even when you aren't onsite
Send messages to your entire team, just a few employees, or an individual right from the free app. Use shift notes and the manager log to let your team know about deliveries to track, special instructions, VIPs, and anything else.
This has been very easy to use and set up and my employees love getting their schedules over email. Thanks!

Tips and Tricks for Bar Scheduling
Schedule to your team’s strengths
Maybe your friendliest bartender isn’t the most efficient, and your fastest bartender doesn’t like talking to customers. Schedule the friendliest bartender for the slower days, and put your most efficient bartender on duty during Friday and Saturday nights. It’s a win-win — most likely, your bartenders will enjoy those shifts more, and both will likely end up with more tips.
Prioritize schedules for your best employees
If you have employees that are particularly exemplary employees, try your best to schedule around their preferences. Scheduling software makes this easy, and it helps if you schedule your whole team as far in advance as you can — doing so will also give everyone a chance to trade shifts if they need to. With bars and breweries, tips can vary widely based on the day of the week and the time of the day, and there are almost certainly universally desirable shifts (like Friday and Saturday nights at a bar, or Saturday and Sunday afternoons at a winery). Use this as an incentive when scheduling to keep your best employees excited about the opportunity.
