We are happy to announce the launch of Homebase.
Starting today, every business and employee can have access to our free tools to make hourly work a little easier.
We started building Homebase to eliminate the headaches of paper-based scheduling and timekeeping. We think it’s really important: this paperwork is wasting over 1 billion hours of time for busy small business owners and limiting the quality of life for over 30 million hard-working people.
It is 2015 and it’s time to kill the paperwork.
Over the past year, we worked with thousands of businesses as we built Homebase. During this beta, we helped managers track over 3 million shifts and save over 200,000 hours of admin time. We helped employees track over $100 million in earnings and schedule over 50,000 time off requests. We received a ton of feedback and focused on building the easiest scheduler and timesheets possible.
Today, we are making Homebase available to every business, and we are making it free.
You can use our powerful online time clock and timesheets to track hours anywhere and get payroll done in less time. You can use our easy scheduling tools to publish a schedule online, so everyone knows when they’re working. We’ll help track and automate time-off requests and shift-trades. (We’ve also got a few paid tools to help with labor-law compliance and managing labor costs.) If you’re working a shift-based job, we’ve got great tools for you as well.
You can download our iOS and Android apps to track your hours, view your schedule, and set reminders about when you’re working. You can also use the app to message the team, request time-off, and trade shifts. Our apps are completely free for you too. If you are still handling your timesheets or scheduling on paper or excel, we hope you’ll give Homebase a try.
It’s free, and our great support team is standing by to help you. We hope you’ll join the thousands of business owners, like Joel Bartlett in Oregon who told us, “We are going from the 19th century to the 21st century!” It’s 2015 and you deserve a better way to work.
We are very thankful to all of the businesses and employees that took part in our beta, and for all of the feedback along the way. We are proud to be a small part of your business and work life. We look forward to serving you for many years to come. The Homebase Team
