We f-ing hate paperwork.

But we really love small businesses—and the teams that power them.

No small business left behind.

There are more than 5 million small businesses in the US, and roughly half of them are spending as much as 7 hours each week (essentially a full day every week!) doing time-consuming, yet necessary tasks like paperwork, payroll, and scheduling. Most of it’s done by hand or with homemade spreadsheets.

Sure, there’s software out there. But most of it was built for big companies. Or it was designed for employees who spend all day working on computers. Either way, it wasn’t built for local restaurants, shops, and services—or the hourly employees that work at them.

Small businesses fuel the economy.

Our communities are built on small businesses. Not only do they provide livelihoods to local people, they define the unique character of every city, town, and neighborhood. Locally-run shops also generate about 50% of the US GDP.

Dr. Chad Moutray, former Chief Economist for the Office of Advocacy at the US Small Business Administration, noted, “Main Street provides the jobs and spurs our economic growth…Entrepreneurs are creative and productive, and these numbers prove it.”

This is why we focus on building products for the small business market.

Do we sound familiar?

There’s a reason. Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve been sharing our real-time data with academics, economists, press, and policymakers. With access to data from more than 100,000 businesses and 2 million hourly employees, we were able to track the effects of COVID-19 on small businesses and workers as it unfolded.

We’re continuing to share our data and work with partners to create better measures and an understanding of the health of US small businesses.

We've just set up #JoinHomebase & it is some serious, free #kickassSoftware.

Raw and unfiltered.

Hear what our customers have to say.

There's no place like Home...base.

Cheesy, we know. But we’re all here because we want to make work better. Better for owners trying to run their businesses and support their communities. Better for the 33 million hourly workers who live paycheck-to-paycheck and can’t afford to miss a shift.

We have Homebase team members and customers around the world, and we’re made stronger by our diverse experiences and perspectives. But the thing that’s absolutely the same in all of us? Our drive to empower local businesses and communities.

We think locally, but we live globally.

Offices across North America.
Were headquartered in San Francisco and Houston and are building teams in Denver, Austin, Atlanta, and Toronto.

Team members across continents.
From engineers to designers, we have team members from all over the globe.

Customers around the world.
Although we built Homebase to meet the needs of small businesses in the US, we now have customers from the UK to Australia.
